Description
TPE(Thermoplastic Elastomer)
When more than 50% of PVC blended with NBR, the properties become nearer those of a plasticized PVC. The NBR behaves as a special type of plasticizer which are; non-extractable non-volatile non-migratory
NBR used in PVC blends is proven to enhance not only ozone-resistance property, but also serves as a non-migratory, non-extractable plasticizer. NBR results in increased tensile strength, modules, ultimate elongation, compression set and abrasion resistance.
NBR also imparts oil and solvent resistance as well as tear and ageing resistance.
Major application : footwear, fuel hose, automobile, weather strip, gear change
boots and door trim.
In recent year thermoplastic elastomers blended with thermoplastic (PE,PP and etc.) and rubber have attained great importance due to their excellent processability and rubber like behavior.
These materials can be extruded, injection molded and compression molded. They have high heat resistance to replace plasticized PVC and TPR.
Major application : material for aluminum pp cap lining of bottles, casket for syringe, film, sports goods.
